Halloween – Change of Plans

November 5, 2020

Each year, our granddaughters come to our house to trick-or-treat in our neighborhood. This year, there was a change of plans due to COVID-19. Instead of trick-or-treating, we decided to go on a Halloween Hunt in our yard. With a list of clues and hidden treat bags, disappointment quickly changed to smiles and laughter.

Some sample clues.

A Picture Is Worth a Thousand Words

October 22, 2010

Nature has a way of inspiring us in the most unexpected ways.

The sky has an eerie glow. The cornstalks are rustling in the wind. There is a hint of mystery in the air. What lurks behind the bale of hay? Only the shadow knows.

This picture may not be worth a thousand words, but it could be worth five hundred words in a picture book. Are you inspired?
